Describe the Whole Community approach from your perspective. Include details on who and what constitutes the stakeholders in this community approach. Explain why they are important to your idea of Whole Community.
How does the Whole Community approach play a role in community resilience? What about your state’s resilience? And finally, what about the overall nation’s resilience?
FEMA – Whole Community. FEMA (n.d.), provides a detailed description of the concept of whole community as it relates to preparedness planning, response to, and recovery from a critical incident.
Department of Homeland Security – Resilience. The Department of Homeland Security stresses the importance of proper planning and building resilient communities that are able to return to a sense of normalcy as soon as possible following a critical incident.
