In this 350 word essay, compare the development of religious devotion used in early
civilizations, especially note the contrast with the two earlier sources and the last. Using your
textbook and lecture notes for general background information, formulate a historical thesis with
supporting argumentation from the primary documents listed below. You must use both
documents in your paper to receive credit, properly cited and referenced. Read the articles
thoroughly, with special attention as to how each early culture expresses religious beliefs, place
of the gods in their worldview, and the means of their devotion to those beings.
